<p>It&#8217;s an unfortunate fact that the vast majority of small business owners are so busy doing what they do, they just don&#8217;t have the necessary time to design their marketing and therefore fail to get in the <strong>right marketing space</strong>.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re in this situation, read on&#8230;</p>
<p>There are three key elements to any marketing campaign and it&#8217;s critical that you utilise all three AND apply them in the correct order&#8230;otherwise you&#8217;ll fail to get in the <strong>right marketing space</strong> and unfortunately you&#8217;re marketing is doomed to failure.&nbsp; What are these three key elements I hear you ask.&nbsp; Well, here they are (in order of application):</p>
<h2><span style="color: #0089e1;">Three Key Elements To Get In The Right Marketing Space</span></h2>
<p>1. The &#8216;Marketing Message&#8217; &#8211; what message do you want to get out to your potential customers, clients or patients?&nbsp; This requires a time commitment on your part AND must be compelling &#8211; your message must include an amazing offer.&nbsp; Far too many small business owners claim that their advertising doesn&#8217;t work.&nbsp; This is unfortunate because &#8211; in my experience &#8211; it&#8217;s not the advertising that doesn&#8217;t work, rather it&#8217;s the message&#8230;they are just not in the <strong>right marketing space</strong>.&nbsp; To be quite blunt&#8230;it&#8217;s BORING!</p>
<p>2. The &#8216;Target Market&#8217; &#8211; you must know who you are targeting.&nbsp; For example, if you own a fun-parlor, maybe you want to target children between the ages of 7 and 13.&nbsp; However you also need to target their parents because they&#8217;re the one&#8217;s paying for it.&nbsp; If you spend money on generalised advertising, you are &#8216;throwing mud against the wall&#8217; and hoping some of it sticks.&nbsp; Not an effective way to do it&#8230;not to mentioned the wasted dollars.</p>
<p>3. The &#8216;Marketing Media&#8217; &#8211; This is where you&#8217;re going to place your advertising.&nbsp; Examples include, flyers, direct mail, radio, TV, newspapers, etc.&nbsp; Once you&#8217;ve determined your target market, this decision becomes much easier.&nbsp; For example, if you were targeting children between the ages of 7 and 13, you would probably not use newspapers as your marketing media (children usually don&#8217;t read newspapers).&nbsp; McDonald do this extremely well&#8230;they target the kids who &#8216;nag&#8217; their parents until they give-in.</p>
<p>So, there you have&#8230;the secrets to effective marketing!&nbsp; Truth be known, there are no secrets &#8211; just common sense.&nbsp; Now get out there and get to it!</p>
